Those who follow my tech reviews will know I’m a big fan of Turtle Beach and their PC peripherals such as keyboards and mice. Along with the Vulcan II TKL Pro, I was sent another improved classic device from their Burst gaming mice lineup, the Turtle Beach Burst II Air Wireless Gaming Mouse. It’s a practically perfect gaming mouse that’s lightweight, well made, and loaded with features to keep you dominating in any PC game.
I love how this mouse feels, thanks to it having a symmetrical, solid shell design that only weighs 47 grams to give you precision control over your games. If that’s not enough, you can also choose to use a hybrid skate system to control how your mouse glides as there’s four small and two large heat-treated, PTFE skates included to further enhance your way of moving the Burst II Air. I can’t tell you how many times this came in handy on titles such as Phantom Fury when things get hectic.
Fans of the previous Burst II lineup will love how this device has been upgraded with their Owl-Eye 26K DPI sensor with a 650 IPS (16.5m/s) tracking speed to make sure any moment you make, no matter how big or small is detected. There’s also a handy side-positioned DPI button to switch your DPI speeds without the need for the Swarm II software.
Speaking of that software, there’s a few sweet options you can tinker with, starting with the six programmable buttons featured on the mouse you can customize to give yourself an edge. While I’m on the subject about buttons, you’ll be more than happy to know these Titan Optical Switches have been upgraded with adjustable debounce, a click tensioning system for improved reliability and response time, along with a 100 million click life cycle to make sure this mouse lasts as long as you do.
Then there’s the option of the dual wireless system where you can switch between 2.4GHz via the included wireless adapter that gives up to 40 hours of use, or classic Bluetooth that gives you up to 120 hours of use. If you’re like me and prefer to use wireless devices wired as not to worry about battery levels and such, you can thankfully use it wired with the included PhantomFlex USB-C to USB-A charging cable.
If you’re looking for a great gaming mouse that gets the job done and then some, you’ll want to pick up the Turtle Beach Burst II Air Wireless Gaming Mouse. It’s sturdy, lightweight, can be used wirelessly and wired, and is packed with nice quality of life improvements to keep you dominating any game you can throw at it.
