I can’t tell you how many times I wasn’t able to charge my mobile devices because there wasn’t enough plugs, the ports are the wrong type, and such. Thankfully these kind of problems are being solved by companies such as Hyper with one of their latest chargers, the HyperJuice 100W USB-C GaN Travel Charger, that makes sure you’re covered wherever you go.
I was already impressed with Hyper some time ago when I review their HyperDrive 60W USB-C Power Hub, and this latest device looks to build upon that one and the many others that came after. This charger allows users to get 100W PD (power delivery) 3.0 charging speeds through any of the three USB-C ports, which is powerful enough to charge a MacBook Pro 14″ from 0-50% in roughly 27 minutes.
There’s also one USB-A port as all of us have at least one device that still clings to the classic charge port. Hyper really went out of their way to make sure your devices get the power they need without causing harm to them thanks to supporting charging protocols such as PD 3.0,QC 2.0, and 3.0, as well as featuring Programmable Power Supply (PPS).
This is a nice one to have as it provides just the right amount of power to your device depending on the wattage that it needs, up to the max wattage of each port to intelligently distribute power to multiple devices at the same time. I really like how the HyperJuice Charger runs cooler than most of the ones out there, as I tend to worry when dealing with chargers and devices that get warm or hot to the touch.
The GaN (Gallium Nitride) technology featured in this charger gives more efficient power conversion by providing you the full power of the charger while giving off less heat, leading to it running about 22% cooler than most devices. Even after charging my 15-inch M3 MacBook and my iPhone 15 Pro at the same time, the HyperJuice was barely warm to the touch.
To make things even better, Hyper included interchangeable adapters for use in over 150 countries (US, EU, UK and ANZ) to ensure it’s the only charger you need when you travel. I also love how the adapters securely lock into place and can only be removed by using a handy lock button on top of the charger.
Just when you think Hyper has done it all, they include a C8 adapter (made for US AC cords) to transform the HyperJuice into a power hub, much like the aforementioned 60W hub I covered. Sadly you’ll have to purchase the AC cord separately, but it’s pretty awesome of them to include this nifty feature.
If you’re looking for a wall charger that nearly does it all, you can’t go wrong with the HyperJuice 100W USB-C GaN Travel Charger. It’s small but mighty and can charge your devices quickly and safely all at once. It even goes the extra mile with the included travel adapters to ensure this is the only wall charger you’ll need at home or abroad.
