For as long as they’ve been available, I’ve always wanted to check out some Bluetooth speakers but never got around to picking any of them up. It’s true good things come to those who wait, as one of the best Bluetooth speakers came to me in the form of the Fender x Teufel Rockster Go 2 Portable Bluetooth Speaker, which is small but powerful and one of the best you can get.
I love how Fender, the famed American company that specializes in making legendary guitars and amps teamed up with Teufel, a famed European company that has pushed audio technology to higher levels for 45 years to bring us this amazing Bluetooth speaker. I could tell it screams quality as soon as I removed it from the packaging as it feels like a small metallic brick that can pump out tunes and take some punishment from accidental falls and such.
That’s exactly what it does, as the two wide-band drivers made of lightweight, rigid aluminum with a passive radiator in the middle for super deep bass make sure whatever music or audio you play comes through loud and punchy. I’ve played around with some pretty cool demo Bluetooth speakers in stores, but actually having one in my place and for it to pump out sound better than those was a mind blowing experience for sure.
While I was able to hear my music in what I call “stereo enough sound” from the Rockster Go 2, Teufel included a button you can press to activate their signature Dynamore technology that gives you virtual, stereo surround-like audio that’s a plus. If you want to take things further, you can link two of these together for true stereo sound, or if you really want to go nuts, you can connect up to a hundred of these for an insanely powerful audio experience.
The fun doesn’t stop there either as this puppy is IP67-certified, meaning it’s so waterproof and dust/dirt resistant, that you can drop the speaker in three feet of water for up to thirty minutes and it’ll still work. Not that you would want to, but it can also be used in temperatures as low as 15 degrees should you need to party in the cold. I like the giant function buttons on top of the device, and the handy power and Bluetooth pairing ones on the back that are next to the power indicator to let you know how much juice is left and how the charging is going.
I’m happy to say the battery life is great, as it can go nearly 28 hours depending on your volume settings, and you can charge it anytime via its USB-C charging port and can also be used while charging to make sure the tunes last as long as you do. There’s also a handy carrying strap you can attach to ensure your tunes are always with you via your hand, backpack, or basically anything you can hook it to. They even throw in a cool Fender guitar pick that’s a sweet bonus.
There’s a lot of Bluetooth speakers out there to choose from, but the Fender x Teufel Rockster Go 2 Portable Bluetooth Speaker blew me away by far. It’s small but powerful and can hold up to all kinds of environmental punishment if needed. Add in the ability to connect it to one or one hundred other speakers like it, and you have one of the best and versatile Bluetooth speakers you can get that’ll take you and your music to new heights.
