Leave it to Creative to keep making a variety of awesome audio accessories for PC, consoles, TVs and more that fit whatever consumers need them for. This most certainly goes for their Creative Stage SE Soundbar that’s a perfect-sized solution for PC gamer desks and monitors, but can also be used for anything you can think of.
While its main function is to be used as an under-monitor soundbar, you can use the Stage SE for mid-sized TVs, as a stand-alone output device for music, and more. Featuring their custom made and tuned racetrack drivers and their famous Sound Blaster technology, this 48W soundbar packs a punch for something a little over a foot wide and weights three pounds.
You can connect to it via USB (with the included USB-A to C cable) and Bluetooth 5.3, and both sound equally amazing. The bass-filled booms and crystal clear sound from the Stage SE reminds me a lot of Creative’s other impressive audio device I reviewed, the Pebble Pro speaker set. It’s like they gutted those and housed them inside a soundbar.
I also like how there’s a small remote you can use to power the device on and off, as well as adjust all of the features it has. If you’re more of a hands-on type, there’s also a cool looking wheel on the side with the power / options button in the middle you can use as well.
As if the soundbar wasn’t already sweet enough, you can even activate “Surround Sound” that truly makes it seem like you have a full audio setup blasting all around you. There’s also a nice “Clear Dialog” setting to enhance dialog and make it easier to hear and understand without increasing the other audio.
Lastly there’s another neat feature that allows you to switch between warmer and brighter audio with the tone setting. This basically lets you increase the bass and lower the treble, or vice versa to give you the best sound possible for whatever you’re viewing or listening to.
The Creative Stage SE Soundbar has more than enough power to bring your games, movies and music to life without hurting your wallet in the process – and without monopolizing your workspace. If you’re looking for an amazing audio device on a budget, this one is sure to take center stage in your setup.
