Since I’m usually pretty mobile when I’m out and about walking or riding my bike, I’m always in the market for some solid headphones that can play my tunes and allow me to answer calls. The Creative Outlier Go Wireless Headphones are the latest to come my way and are perfect for those wanting great sound while still being able to hear around them.
I have to admit that when I first saw these, I was worried the sound wasn’t going to be good as they hang on the outside of your ear as opposed to typical earbuds that go in your ear. I was so glad Creative proved me wrong as I was literally blown away by how powerful and clean the audio was, as they sound just as bass-filled and punchy as in-ear headphones.
I also love the silky, silicon finish of these and the welcomed ear hooks that make sure these don’t fall off when jogging, walking, bike riding, or any exercise you’re up to. It also helps that the headphones are shaped to mimic the natural shape of your ear and can be adjusted up, down, in your ear some or out to your liking.
The amazing sound quality comes from Creative’s 14.2 mm Neodymium drivers that pump plenty of bass while also capturing mid and high frequency sounds nicely. I listened to all kinds of music with them, from Trance to Pop to Hip-hop, the Outlier Go has you covered.
Speaking of coverage, you’ll be happy to know these also feature dual microphones and Bluetooth 5.4 to make sure you can pick up or make phone calls with clarity and ease. As I was testing these out on a bike ride with music, my mother called me and came through loud and clear while stating I sounded the same. You can also pair these to two mobile devices and switch between them when needed for more flexibility.
Since these are made for exercise, they feature an IPX4 rating that keeps light water, sweat and dirt out of them so you can focus on what you’re doing. They also have a nice battery life of six hours and can be charged enough times to give you up to 26 hours with the rechargeable case. There’s also the Creative app you can download that grants cool extra features such as low latency mode, adjust gestures to access different functions of the headphones, and more.
I really enjoyed using the Creative Outlier Go Wireless Headphones as they shocked me with how great they sound while being worn on the outside of your ear. They feature nice, powerful sound and are fun to use and place in the case when done as they magnetically snap into place. For $60 you won’t find a more cool and solid pair of headphones for music and phone calls while on the move.
