Badasheng Multi-Platform Stereo Sound Gaming Headset

A great headset for those looking for a pair that won’t break the bank.

As I mentioned in my review for the HUHD HW-398M Wireless Gaming Headset, I just so happened to be looking for some replacement ones when I was sent that one along with this to review, the Badasheng Multi-platform Stereo Sound Gaming Headset (BDS-939G). I’m happy to say that this device performs just as good as its wireless counterpart at an even cheaper price for those looking for a solid headset without breaking their bank account.

As with the wireless headset, this one is very well padded to ensure comfort during those long gaming or binge watching hours. I love the fact that you can change the ear cups from leather-like ones to the rather comfy mesh-like kind as well. There’s also multiple interchangeable cables to make sure you can connect this to all of your favorite devices such as the PlayStation 3 and 4, Xbox One and 360, your PC, mobile devices and more. Of course those using the older Xbox One Controller without the 3.5mm port will need the adaptor from Microsoft, but those with the newer version are all set to go right out of the box. Once you’ve selected the appropriate cable to your device, you then connect the headset which uses a micro USB cable that plugs into the in-line controller and you’re off to the races.

I was also happy to know that this device has a detachable microphone as well, so you don’t have to worry about snapping or breaking it off by mistake, or if you just want to use them solely as headphones. There’s also the nice feature of being able to control both the chat volume and audio levels separately to balance them as you wish, and there’s also a mute switch. Thanks to the 40mm speakers, the sounds come through nice and clean with an ample supply of bass to accompany them. This was especially evident in some of the games I played online with friends, and the microphone also worked nicely as they reported I was able to be heard loud and clear.

For a wired headset for under $40 (I’ve seen it as low as $34.99), you can’t beat the functionality of the Badasheng Multi-platform Stereo Sound Gaming Headset. It covers all of the basics and a little more very well and all within a nice budget that make these well worth giving them a listen.
