Nymphomaniac: Volume II (2014)
More audacious than volume one, mostly because of von Trier’s willingness to delve into the darker, often unexplored recesses of the mind.

Provocative in ways more complex than the title suggests; the graphic sexuality is not as shocking as what the central character thinks and feels.
A halfcocked attempt at a political thriller – a film that not only skimps on the expected action thriller elements but also labors mightily on a profoundly implausible plot and incredibly weak character development.
Its not even remotely plausible plot exists primarily as an excuse to include stock characters, really bad puns, and lots of shooting people down and blowing things up.
Crams in all the current popular subgenres, namely dead teenagers, technology, demonic possession, and found footage; but somehow the harder it tries, the less sense it ultimately makes.
