2019 – what a year! As fading platforms like the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One ready their next-generation successors, streaming promises a whole new way to play and competitive eSports is more popular than ever there was no shortage of hits and misses in the wide world of videogame delights. Whether it’s PC, console, smartphone or “other”, there’s never been a better time to be a gamer, and things only look to get better as we head into the roaring 2020s.
All that’s fine and dandy, but what about the actual games people play? While the guys try to stay positive, 2019 had its share of disappointments, including notable stinkers like Contra: Rogue Corps, Crackdown 3, Mario Kart Tour, Rage 2, Days Gone and Wolfenstein: Youngblood.
