I’m glad to see Nick Jr.’s Paw Patrol is still going strong, as it’s easily one of the best shows on the network. To help make an already great team of heroic pups even better, they’re getting a new addition with the female husky pup Everest in the PAW Patrol: Meet Everest DVD. Featuring seven episodes that bring over an hour and a half of fun, this is one disc kids will bark and wag their tails for.

Things kick off with Everest’s debut in the aptly titled “The New Pup”. Here the PAW Patrol sets out to save their friend Jake when he becomes lost in some nearby ice fields. Luckily there’s a new pup that’s used to the cold and knows just what to do to save him, and that’s the new heroine named Everest. After she joins the gang, there’s “Pups and the Big Freeze” where a winter storm creates havoc all over Adventure Bay, leaving things up to Ryder, Rubble, and Everest to help those in trouble while also clearing any snow and ice they come across. The other five episodes here will have kids and quite possibly their families glued to their seats as they watch the pups come to the rescue of others. Whether it’s helping out a family of deer that’s stuck on a snowy hill, or finding Alex’s lost backpack on the first day of school, these pups are always on a fun-filled mission.

As with the previous DVD releases of this show, I had a good time watching it along with some of my younger cousins. The visuals and sound come through really well for a DVD, as the colors and animation seem to pop off the screen. Those looking for any kind of bonus features will be disappointed, but the seven episodes on here do come with optional Spanish and French audio tracks, and will keep anyone who watches them more than entertained.

Those looking for a fun way to spend time with their kids will want to pick up the PAW Patrol: Meet Everest DVD. What it lacks in special features is more than made up by the exciting, well chosen episodes in this collection that is sure to have viewers howling with delight.
