I love coming across off-the-wall, crazy anime shows where insane stuff is happening all around the main character but they’re too naive, innocent, and just plain goofy to notice it. Enter Sentai’s Kill Me Baby: Complete Collection that’s all about this and then some for loads of laughs and action that will keep you and your eyes rolling.
In this series we follow the lives of three, seemingly ordinary young ladies named Yasuna Oribe, and her two friends Sonya and Agiri. They attend school and just do their best to get through the day all while teasing and goofing around, until all sorts of crazy situations start happening that is.
Whether it’s rampaging bears, ninjas, criminals, assassins, and more attacking the girls and their school, there’s always something strange going on there, and Yasuna is always totally oblivious to it happening. Thankfully Sonya and Agiri are trained assassins that are always prepared to deal with danger, if they’re not trying to kill each other first, and even Yasuna at times when she gets on their nerves with her happy-go-lucky demeanor.
Whatever the case is, you can be rest assured you’ll find yourself rolling with laughter as well as rolling your eyes at all of the zany things going on in the show. Needless to say I was doing that and then some as it was a laugh a minute watching the girls keep Yasuna and others safe while also being tempted to kill her numerous times, especially Sonya who seems to hate Yasuna with a passion but yet is still her best friend.
The saying “With friends like these, who needs enemies?” has never been more true than in this series, and it was awesome watching it unfold in high-definition as the visuals and audio are spot on in this Blu-ray set. As far as extras go, there’s the tried and true clean opening and closing animations, and that’s pretty much it.
If you’re looking for an anime series that’s absolutely bonkers and is all about making you laugh by throwing the craziest situations at you, then proceed to get slayed by Kill Me Baby: Complete Collection. It’s non-stop laughs from start to finish with plenty of action thrown in that never misses its mark.
