I’ve been a fan of Bungie’s Destiny game franchise since day one as me and my friends always love getting together and shooting our way through enemies with awesome weapons and powerful special moves. Now the famed company is celebrating three decades of them being around with some sweet DLC with the Destiny 2: Bungie 30th Anniversary Pack. It’s a nice package filled new and old content and more that will have fans celebrating along with Bungie.
via YouTubeAs soon as you start up this anniversary pack, you’ll be treated to some nice overall game improvements from weapon and special ability tweaks, to bug fixes and some new and old content being thrown into the mix. The main thing that will grab the most attention is the new Thorn armor set and the famous Gjallarhorn rocket launcher making its long awaited return from the original Destiny game.
Of course it won’t be easy to grab this bad boy, as you’ll have to take on a new dungeon, Grasp of Avarice, to attempt to get it. Featuring a pirate-like theme, you and your friends will have to fight your way through here and overcome the new challenges that await deep inside the cave while collecting sweet, sweet loot along the way.
There’s also some cool Halo-themed weapons and gear for you to collect, from a new sidearm that looks a lot like the classic Magnum, an Energy Sword-like weapon and more. Fans will also be happy to know that most of the exotic weapons are finally getting balanced, so no more weak Whisper of the Worm and Sleeper Simulant pick ups and they’ve been buffed, and overpowered ones are being overhauled for better balanced and fun gameplay (especially in PVP).
The biggest change that fans may love or hate is how the special moves and their cooldowns are being handled. With the next big expansion, The Witch Queen, just a few months away, Bungie is getting players ready for the new abilities and class system that will be featured there by making changes to Destiny 2 as it is now.
So expect to have your abilities and super moves to feel differently, such as utility skills having a much shorter cooldown from say a major, powerful super ability that will now take longer to cooldown depending on how powerful it is.
These are just a few of the cool extras you’ll come across in the Destiny 2: Bungie 30th Anniversary Pack, as there’s all sorts of new gear, emotes, Sparrows, shells for your Ghost, and more to find and collect. Those looking to breathe some new life into Destiny 2 before The Witch Queen expansion will want to celebrate with Bungie and their new content in this fun pack.
