The Rocketfish LAN Adapter for Wii is extremely easy to use, even for the most tech illiterate. You just plug in the adapter's USB plug into a free USB slot on the back of the Wii, connect one plug of the provided Ethernet cable into the other end of the adapter, and the other end of the cable to your internet connection - wired router, cable/DSL modem, or hub. From there you go into your Wii's option menu, and into the internet settings, select wired connection, and you're set to play any of the console's online-enabled games (a little Mario Kart, perhaps?) with the best of them.
Manufacturer: Rocketfish
Model Number: RF-GWII008
Price: $24.99

It might be hard for some of you to believe, but not everyone has joined the wireless revolution.  In fact, a great deal of you reading this might still use (or even prefer) the tethered life, but just know that you're not alone.  And for those of you who would love to start using the Nintendo Wii online, you may have found the console's native wireless options even confusing or unpractical, as Nintendo has pegged the future of their online experience in the wireless world.  But thankfully, there are many options to help bring Ethernet connectivity to the Wii, and you can add Rocketfish's excellent LAN Adapter to that list of inexpensive solutions.

Incredibly, a direct wired connection means faster loading times when navigating the Wii's online features like WiiWare download shop, as well as going online with the Opera web browser.  Those new to the Wii's online world might be surprised to see how much they can do once connected, including setting it to 24/7 Mode which helps keep the console updated even when its turned on standby mode.  You can even access free information portals like the awesome News and Weather Channels, and trust me you haven't seen the weather until you've played around with the awesome spinning Globe.  Viewing the weather or news reports from any part in the world has never been more fun of exciting...trust me!

If I had any gripe with the LAN Adapter, it would be that the Ethernet cable provided is a tad short. I think a 10' cable would've been better than the standard 6' one, but that's the issue with wired devices in the first place.  But then longer cables are relatively cheap to come by, and if its length you need than I suggest investing in one slightly longer than what's in the box.  But this is a minor issue in an otherwise excellent - and cheap - package that works exactly as advertised and performs flawlessly.
