Brining the Payne!
Max Payne news these days - movie or game news? Why, movie
news of course as the popular slow-motion and grisly videogame is going all
Hollywood on us by getting a cinematic experience to call its very own.
With its cast of macabre, crazy characters and movie-ready story of revenge and
heartbreak (not to mention plenty of stylized, hyper-action sequences) the only
question is why wasn't this one optioned a long time ago.
With Mark Wahlberg taking up the titular role in this increasingly-good
looking production and direction from John Moore (Behind Enemy Lines),
the live-action version of the game could be the breakout conversion hit that so
many, many videogame-to-film adaptations have failed to be. We've seen one
interesting trailer already, and now there's a set of interesting posters to get
you all excited and pumped. Straight from the mean and dirty streets of
San Diego and their fancy-pants Comic Con, the more I see of Max Payne
means the more I want to see of Max Payne. Is this a perfect
perpetual-motion machine of marketing? Probably, but let's just hope the
final product doesn't suck!
Big ups to JoBlo.com
for all this movie madness!
