Jim Carrey returns as a man who learns to love life simply by saying yes to everything. Chances of talking butts are unlikely.

Happy Happy Joy Joy!

Where oh where has Jim Carrey been to?  Its hard to believe that some ten years ago, the funnyman was the biggest star in the world and every new Carrey film would have fans on their tiptoes with excitement.  I, and not ashamed to admit it, was one of those nerdy fans.  But time has taken its toll, and while there's been a few genuine laughs since then, generally speaking the trajectory of our man's career has followed his desire to become the next Tom Hanks.  More drama = less excitement, and while none of us should be throwing stones, when you're famous for a rubber face and talking out your patooty, stick with what you know.

Yes Man, his new film about a curmegeon who decides to start saying an emphatic "YES!!" to everything only to discover how dramatically improved things are (shades of Liar, Liar?) hits later this year.  Chock-full of Carrey-lite, family fun humor and a holiday happy release date should equal box-office success for the actor, but I'm getting the feeling that he's just coasting here.  I could be totally wrong, however, and walk into something completely wonderful...I'm hoping.  Actually that whole bit with the Red Bull was actually pretty good, so there's hope!

So catch all the Yes Man action by clicking the curiously awesome picture of Ace Ventura and General Zod just below...actually, I'm just kidding.  But wouldn't that be something freakishly cool?  Trailer just below, and Yes Man hits theaters December 19th!
