The first theatrical poster for the upcoming animated fantasy adventure 9 is now available online.

Written by Chris Mitchell (associate editor)

One of the more interesting animated projects in a year already jam-packed with interesting animated projects is the upcoming film with the numerical name, 9.  Expanded from a Academy Award-nominated short film and ready for primetime, the full-length feature film is already attracting much attention thanks to its unique animation style, full stable of notable voice actors (including Elijah Wood, John C. Reilly, Jennifer Connelly and more) and producing credits by the likes of Tim Burton and Timur Bekmambetov.

Will the world accept a post-apocalyptic animated film about rag dolls striving to survive?  Enjoy the first theatrical poster below, and get ready for action as 9 hits theaters everywhere (appropriately enough) on September 9th, 2009.
