Zen Pinball 2: Rogue One Game Review

A fresh and fun table that captures the excitement of the film and more.

Fans of Zen Pinball have been enjoying pack after pack of awesome tables for an equally awesome game as of late. That being said, those who have been playing will likely feel spoiled as the next DLC is sadly only one table this time around, but it’s a great one in Zen Pinball 2: Rogue One. Based on the hit film and featuring plenty of fun sound clips and scenes from it along with Zen’s amazing attention to detail and fun, this is one to join the rebellion for.

The first thing you’ll notice is the two lanes featured here make jumping into this table rather easy, as the bumper field straight up top can be reached for loads of points as soon as you start. There’s also plenty of flippers and ball save points on the table that make sure your ball stays in the action and less in the exit lanes. Of course this wouldn’t be a Zen Pinball table without some missions to carry out, and there’s a nice amount of them you can conquer, from fighting off AT-AT walkers, to confronting the Empire head on. Players will also be happy to know there’s a few bonus missions as well, so you’ll always find yourself with something do as you rack up points.

As with all their tables, Zen’s presentation is some of the best you’ll find in gaming. Awesome animated figures of Jyn, Stormtroopers and more come to life on the playing field, and loads of Star Wars sound clips and music are pulled from the movies and used here. I for one am glad they used some of the classic music as Rogue One’s soundtrack didn’t capture the feel of the franchise like it should’ve and apparently Zen Studios felt the same way.

Zen Pinball 2: Rogue One is a no-brainer for those who already have Zen Pinball and for those looking for their next pinball fix. Anyone can pick up and enjoy this game, even without seeing or knowing anything about Star Wars. So go out there and join the rebels, as the force is strong with this table.
